Natural Foaming Cleaner receipe

I have found that in Jordan I am having a hard time finding all-natural beauty products. I did not bring with me a lot of my Shaklee products, just my favorites, because of limited space. Now I wish that I had made room. Did I really need to bring that many clothes for the kids? Hehe. Thank goodness I was smart enough to bring my book, Beauty by Nature by Brigette Mars. When I empty my Shaklee facial cleaner, I will mix her foaming cleanser receipe. It is as follows:

Foaming Cleanser

So, simple! Use lemon juice for combination skin, yogurt for dry skin, or apple cider vinegar for oily skin. Because this cleanser is also a scrub, limit its use to a few times a week.

1 tablespoon baking soda
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice, yogurt, or apple cider vinegar

Combine the ingredients in a small bowl. Wet face and gently massage into skin. Rinse well with lukewarm water.

Happy cleaning!

Direct Selling

This morning on Good Morning America website, I read the article "5 ways to Make Cash Fast" by Tory Johnson. She suggested direct selling as a way to make a little extra cash. I am a distributor of Shaklee Corporation. Shaklee has been in business for over 50 years and has been a pioneer in producing products that are high-quality and safe for the environment. They have the best home cleaners that are non-toxic and safe for the planet, in my opinion. I am excited that I have chosen this company to share with my friends and family.

My comment to 23 States Get Even Fatter

I have just read a very disturbing headline, "23 States Get Even Fatter". OMG! As much as our nation spends on diet solutions, we should be the leanest we have ever been. Unfortunately the reality is that we cannot have our cake and eat it too. We cannot expect a magic pill to instantly rewind our bad choices. I raed somewhere that some states want to tax junk food and soda. I think this is a great idea. I will definitely think twice before I buy junk if I have to pay more.

I am blessed that I have never had a serious weight problem. I have had trouble with post-baby weigh with all three of my children. It would take a few months to realize that I had to be smart about what I ate. I could not eat crap and expect to lose weight.

My mother-in-law makes the best thyme bread! I have been enjoying her bread for the last month! Needless to say, there is a such thing as too much of a good thing, and it resides on my butt right now. All of my jeans are toooo tight. So, yesterday I started on the Cinch 3 in 1 Boost Supplements in addition to smart eating. I am a Shaklee Distributor and wanted to try out their Health Weight System. I will let you know how it works for me.

Selling on eBay

Today, I checked out two books from library about how to sell on eBay. I need some extra cash and I have no motivation to have a garage sell. My goal is to become a pro selling my own treasures, then I could ultimately design floral arragements to sell online.

I need advice concerning the best tips to sell on eBay!

Enjoy the Ride

I read something the other day that really got me thinking. "When you plant seeds for something new, it always takes time for them to grow." Many times I forget that during the craziness of the day. Most things in our life are almost instantaneous. It is so easy to have what I am looking for right this minute. This happens so often that when something is not instantaneous, I become very insecure. I think that there must be something wrong with me, that I fell short. Sometimes I forget that some of the best that life has to offer takes a bit of patience and failed tries. I need to cultivate patience with myself and realize that the journey is part of, not just the beginning of, the thing I need itself.

I want my home business to be an instant success. I believe and am so excited about the products that I have chosen to sell. I just need time for my planted seeds to grow.

We Need Subsidies for Fruits and Vegetables!

I knew that meat and dairy were subsidized by the government. But I never thought about how much. I read an article today that said a hamburger could cost $35 to produce, but costs only $1.50 at a fast food restaurant because of farm subsidies. That is huge!!! That is mind-boggling! That is unacceptable. Our nation has reached epidemic proportions of the number of obese men, women and children and most claim that it costs too much to eat healthy fruits and vegetables. It costs less money to eat crap! Wouldn't it be great if meat would cost more and local fruit and vegetable growers could get the govenment subsidies to bring their prices down. Most medical advisers agree that to be healthy we much reduce our consumption of meat and increase our intake of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Why shouldn't the way our government spends money reflect the best interests of its citizens? I will never look at a hamburger in the same way ever again.
